In a follow-up to the post about Anna’s Outfits, we now take a look at Elsa’s dresses throughout the franchise.
Like with Anna, it is difficult to give an exact number of outfits, because it differs depending on the way you count. For example, is the same dress with a different blouse another outfit or not? And, as will be mentioned below, is the same dress but in a much larger size a different one or still considered the same outfit?
Having said that, again, below are screenshots of all the different attires Elsa has been wearing in the movies.
For starters, we can use the same screenshots as with Anna’s outfits. Elsa is wearing blue pajamas when she is playing with Anna…

…and an outfit more suited for outside use when Pabbie is changing Anna’s memories. This is also the outfit she is wearing when looking out the window of her room and talking with her father about concealing her powers.

When Elsa is expressing her fears about her own powers getting stronger, she is wearing a new dress.

The next wardrobe change is when teen Elsa says goodbye to her parents, who will leave for a two-week journey. It is a beautiful purplish dress we only get to see for these few seconds.

Then we get to see Elsa leaning against her door while Anna is trying to reach out for her after their parents got lost at sea. This is also an outfit that is only visible for just a few seconds.

From “For The First Time In Forever” until the first half of “Let It Go”, Elsa is wearing her typical queen outfit, a turquoise dress with a purple cape.

During the song “Let It Go”, Elsa transforms her dress into her iconic Ice Palace dress, which will be her outfit for the remainder of the movie.

In Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Elsa is wearing the exact same dress for the entire film.

We do see some flashbacks to her childhood, and among outfits we’ve already seen in Frozen I, there is one dress that seems to be new. Maybe it was originally designed for Frozen I as well, but not used in the end.

In Frozen Fever, Elsa is wearing her known Ice Palace dress while she is preparing for Anna’s birthday with Kristoff and Sven. But after waking Anna, she magically transfers her Ice Palace dress into a beautiful summer outfit.

She is even still wearing the dress when she is in bed, albeit with a wool cloak around it.

In Frozen II, we start with flashbacks to Frozen I, with outfits we’ve already seen.
At the end of the introduction song, “All Is Found,” we see Elsa on the palace balcony wearing a beautiful lavender dress.

While playing charades, Elsa is wearing a purple nightgown.

During their travels through the Enchanted Forest, Elsa is wearing a blue traveller outfit.

When Elsa get’s ready to challenge the sea to reach Ahtohallan, she takes off part of her outfit, which basically still makes it the same outfit, but yet gives her a somewhat different look, especially since she simultaneously changes her iconig braid into a pony tail.

When inside Athohallan, Elsa transforms into her spirit dress during the song “Show Yourself”.

This will be her dress for the remainder of the movie and brings the total number of outfits to around 10 to 15.
