After running a poll for two weeks, we found that member preferences for our landing page were pretty much 50-50. Half of you wanted to keep the regular static page, while the other half would prefer a blog-style landing page with the latest news.
It is always hard to keep everybody happy, but we made an attempt anyway. All members can now select their preferred landing page in their personal setting. Currently, it is set to be our ‘blog’ page with the latest announcements, but you can revert it back to the old static page if you prefer to. Visitors will only be able to see the new announcements page because they obviously have no personal settings page to change that.
